Small businesses in the UK spend thousands of pounds setting up a business, finding office space, employing staff, and hundreds of pounds on letterhead, business cards, and subscribing to phone and broadband services each year.
The internet presents SMEs with the chance to reach out to customers locally, nationally and internationally, promote and sell 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and serve customers online to reduce the volume of phone calls that have to be handled by employees. However, this is often overlooked in setting up shop.
