The usual mistake that social network marketers do is to put up invites and then once their invites are accepted - forget to respond to questions propounded to them.  This will only instill doubt on the part of your client which can then result to a wasted marketing strategy.  Remember that a gesture such as answering queries can go a long way – such as more sales on your part.

Do Not Forget To Manage Your Account


Building your social network profile is not enough.  You must at least take the time to manage it as well.  Having just a profile alone will not result to sales.  However, having a profile with all the necessary and proper information will.

If you can’t maintain your company profile yourself – hire someone to do it for you.  Add some additional pictures, blogs, notes and other information that you think are necessary to spread the word about your product.  Consider this as part of your marketing strategy that will enable you to reap the benefits thereafter.

Do Not Underestimate The Power Of Research


Once you start getting sales from your social network marketing strategy - do not stop there.  Try to do some additional research about other tools and programs that can add further hype to your marketing campaign.  This will not only ensure that you stay on top of your game, but it will also allow you to keep track of the competition as well.

Like any other marketing strategy you need to go into social media with a plan and some goals.  In order to find any success it's about much more than just setting up a page and waiting for people to start following you.  You need to actually be active on the site and interact with people since that's what social media is about.
