Google's Taking The Skies with Flight Search

Google's going a step further by bringing live flight information into our search results (isn't that amazing - especially if you love travelling). Five months ago they introduced ITA flight software which we got news that Google is also working on introducing Flight information into search results.

From 13th September if you search a flight related query in Google such as "Flights from Tampa to Houston" you will notice a Flights icon on the left hand side, which will take you to Google Flight Centre :) - If you do not see the flight icon, don't worry, Google is still in process of rolling this out throughout the web.

From the flight centre you will be able to see and work with the below so that you can plan your trip.

  • Search through flights

  • See aprox figures of costs

  • Filter your query based on stop over's, Sky Team, and Flights.

This is Google's first attempt to tap into bringing flight information, never know what's in store for the future, and how Google will change the travel industry, and how this would affect travel agencies.
