Currently, the debate still rages on as to whether Google+ will eventually unseat Facebook as the top Social Network in the world.
However, with the entry of US President Barack Obama as a new Google+ user, it seems that the Facebook just might have something to worry about.
According to reports, Obama’s Google+ profile is verified and was launched on Wednesday morning. Of course, many are speculating that the said profile is not really run by the president himself – and this is a fact that the profile does not really deny.
Regardless though, this entry of Obama into Google+ is a very good indication on the part of the giant social network. After all, ever since his days as a senator, the president has always been active on Twitter and Facebook. In fact, many attest that his online presence is one of the key factors as to why he probably won his bid as president.
However, despite the US president’s celebrity status, reports state that his profile has only around 110 shares – which is a considerably low number. To many, this is a sign that Google’s social network still has many things to do before it can overtake Facebook. In other words, only time will tell as to whether Google+ will be successful in its endeavours or not. And all of us will just have to wait and see.
