One has to, simply download the app and choose the publications you want to subscribe to for free. You can also add RSS, video and photo feeds, public Google+ streams and Google Reader subscriptions you’re already following.

In addition to consuming your favorite media, you can also use the trending tab to discover related content that matches your tastes.

You can try it on http://www.google.com/producer/currents and make the app for your blog available for mobile devices to be found by your potential customers and regular readers.

Currents can connect with Google Reader, and you can pick and choose which subscriptions you'd like . One can even set up Google Analytics for it to get the analytics metrics data.
